I'm guessing the i5 is an 1155 socket cpu? If so short version yes it will. But what you are suggesting in this topic is an emulator which is pirating games basically. Which is a big no no here.

You can use discs for the emulator which is legal.

Those specifications will easily handle a PS2 emulator; even a Wii emulator. You're good to go!

cool thanks, and were defiantly sure its not illegal right ( as long as I use the game discs I have) ?

Technically the emulator itself isn't illegal but many who use it do not own a physical copy of the games they play they download them which fits into this in the forum rules

Post, promote or distribute any content that is illegal.
Promote or encourage activity which is illegal, such as hacking, cracking, scamming.

To run it you need a bios which you would need to get from your ps2 which is dead. And downloading the bios is illegal. Which is why i said that it is illegal.

ummm sorry but whats a bios?

The bios is like the guts of the ps2 (more or less but it would take a long time and a lot of space to spell it all out in its technical jargon). And if you read that it will explain more and in more detail. While it is ok to use an emulator to play your own games you need a bios file for the ps2 emulator to even work. And if you download the bios from any other means that is not from your ps2 you are stepping out of the legal to the illegal realm.

technically zolton is right, which is why this shouldnt be discussed in this forum. your specs are fine though.

Ok, Im not downloading it if its illegal I guess Ill just have to have my PS2 repaired

Or buy one of the earlier versions of the ps3 the 30gig 60 gig and i think the old 40 gig and 80 gig as well play the ps2 games.

I would but I already have PS3 and 60GB ones cos like £500, btw have done something wrong by asking these questions

this is a clean forum, no talks of cracks, hacks, pirating or anything that is not completely out of the grey zone and into the white.

downloading the bios to get the emulator working is considered pirating. it would be ok to talk about emulating ps2 with your own bios taken from your own ps2 though.
