I'm guessing the i5 is an 1155 socket cpu? If so short version yes it will. But what you are suggesting in this topic is an emulator which is pirating games basically. Which is a big no no here.

well no I was told it can run discs, I didnt know that it was illegal I read on a forum that PCSX2 can run PS2 discs but if its illegal I wont download it then

You can use discs for the emulator which is legal.

To run it you need a bios which you would need to get from your ps2 which is dead. And downloading the bios is illegal. Which is why i said that it is illegal.

The bios is like the guts of the ps2 (more or less but it would take a long time and a lot of space to spell it all out in its technical jargon). And if you read that it will explain more and in more detail. While it is ok to use an emulator to play your own games you need a bios file for the ps2 emulator to even work. And if you download the bios from any other means that is not from your ps2 you are stepping out of the legal to the illegal realm.

this is a clean forum, no talks of cracks, hacks, pirating or anything that is not completely out of the grey zone and into the white.

downloading the bios to get the emulator working is considered pirating. it would be ok to talk about emulating ps2 with your own bios taken from your own ps2 though.
