DV9000 Display Issue

Hello,
I have an HP DV9000t that has undergone a "Fix" to correct the Nvidia display problem. The computer worked perfect for over a year and then suddenly went blank. I connected an external monitor and that works fine. So, went ahead and replaced the display, the Inverter, and the cable. I still have no display. (Note: it does show backlit LCD). If external vga works, can it still be the Nvidia card? Is there another component that would be suspect? Any ideas?
