Advice on a ASUS P9X79 Build w/ SSD Boot & Twin 2TB HDD's in RAID 1

I'll admit that the answer to my question is probably buried somewhere in the Tom's Hardware forum ... but I wasn't having much luck digging it out. So here's to the new thread!

So I'm starting a new build using an ASUS P9X79 Deluxe MB. I have a 240 GB SSD that I'd like to use as the system drive only; and, 2 @ 2TB/each HDD spinners that I'd like to use as data drives in a RAID 1 format. I also have 1 ODD (of course).

Just for informational purposes, I'll probably partition the spinners as well.

--> With this board, which is the best & most reliable method to set this array up? Any drivers needed, or is this array configured via the BIOS before I start the OS install?
