Hello Guys,

I would like your expertise in here, I used to have an EVGA 8800 GTS 320 MB (G80) Graphics Card, unfortunately it got damaged so I was looking to get another one, my choice was the PNY 550 Ti 1GB so my question is if this "Upgrade" was ok, I tried getting the GTX 560 Ti but it was about the double of the price so after a brief research I found this was my best choice.

My new card (PNY 550 Ti) price is of $129.99 (US Dlls), the 560 which I have always wanted to buy (I still do) costs around 249 bucks (The MSI Twin Frozr II), anyway any other option around 130 bucks will be highly appreciated.

Please note I have a Corsair GS600 (600 watts Gaming power supply) so the power supply isn't an issue.

These are the cards:

8800 GTS 320MB (G80) (My old one)

PNY 550 Ti 1GB GDDR5

Solution
I'll sum it up, the 550Ti beats the 8800gtx by about 20% with half the power consumption and both cards easily beat the old G80 gts. Save your old card as a collectors item.

It's a pretty decent upgrade I use the 320mb 8800gts card and a 550ti is definately a upgrade.

Another option is the radeon 7770, when I was looking at gpu's to upgrade from a few months ago that was one of two cards I was looking at. If I recall it was similar performance to the 550ti but used less power, something to look into. And It was roughly the same price.
