Hello everyone, This is my first pc gaming build ever, and I would really like some help, suggestions, and input. First off here is the guts of what I am going to get.
http://pcpartpicker.com/ca/p/ki8P
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.79 @ DirectCanada)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.91 @ DirectCanada)
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme3 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($89.99 @ Canada Computers)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($48.49 @ Newegg Canada)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($399.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case ($54.69 @ DirectCanada)
Power Supply: Rosewill Green 530W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg Canada)

I would suggest a 7950 over the 660Ti.
Get this for RAM instead; it's low profile and cheaper: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1682...

^+1PSU is overkill btw. 500-550w would be more than enough, unless you'll be going SLI/CF.
I went with a 600w psu its the same price as a 550w.

Any 7950 will outperform the 660 Ti. That MSI in particular is great though thanks to the Twin Frozr cooling. It can overclock like a beast.
Cheap, but quality PSU.

I am looking at either the video card it picked before the 7950, or the 670 ftw version. I just was looking into the 670 and people were saying it was really good. Can someone tell me if it is worth the extra money of what I have? And what increase I performance will I be getting compared to the hd 7950? I will only be having 1 monitor and I will be playing at 1920x1080.

The 670 is a great card. If you're getting it, don't pick any EVGA, since they mostly use bad reference cooling. That said, you can get a 7970 that outperforms the 670 at the same price point.
What gtx 670 card is best? there is quite a few of them with different amounts of v ram.
For the 7970 is looked at this one and it seems really good but I also saw the vapor x one. What 7970 card is the best. and what gtx 670 card is the best. I really want to get a good card for my first build
670 vs 7970!

VRAM usually only matters when you use more than 1 monitor. If you're going 670, get the 2gb.
I would suggest the Gigabyte, MSI, ASUS, or XFX 670s. Get the cheapest one, they all have great cooling and performance difference is negligible.
Sapphire is one of ATI/AMD's oldest and loyal GPU brands, and one of the best. They make great non-reference cards. It's also the cheapest regular 7970 on Newegg, apparently.
Vapor-X is my favorite custom cooling, but I NEVER see it in stock probably due to popularity. If you can catch it, it's a great buy.
Another great buy that's always out of stock is
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=75186&vpn=GV-R797TO-3G...
That one is a GHz Edition of the 7970, so it performs a lot better, and it's priced only @ $413.78, compared to other GE's that go for $449.

Thank you for your great response. For what I do what would you suggest for the video card. I will have 1 monitor like in my build, 24 inch 1920x1080. I dont think I will be playing bf3, but basically all the new games. ex, Dishonored etc..
Anyways.... Could we have a discussion on the two videos cards 7970 or the gtx 670 and could you give me links to both of them of the best type.
Thanks, You have been very helpful so far.

What card would be the best and would be the best over all.
I am using 1 1080x1920 24" monitor.
I really like the vapor x card really good reviews and such.
Dont know that much about a good 670 card that would be better than the vapor x.
You recommendations?

That depends, how much exactly are you willing to spend for a GPU?
And before anything, I'd like to get one thing straight- Do you want a Nvidia or AMD card? Right now the AMD has the best value cards for the money on almost all price ranges. But there are some people who would still rather prefer Nvidia since it makes them feel more comfortable or something, or for whatever other reason they have.

Probally amd, But everything I look at on nvidia's 670 people are comparing it to like 3 monitors or something like that, and I only want 1. So its getting really confusing for me right now.. And I would like to pay under 450. I would like to keep my build less than 1100 also if possible.
EDIT- I was researching and some people were saying that the 670 OC version was better if you wernt good at overclocking. And I have never overclocked before, and I dont even know how in the first place.

Putting OC in the formula complicates things, and the 7970 has OC versions too at $399.
Check the links I gave on the above post. Most of them are below $450.
Don't mind the 3-monitor discussions, it won't affect you.
I have been looking at the MSI GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card - http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...
Or the Sapphire HD 7970- http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...
Tell me a bit about them and what one you think will be best for me. (Remember 1 Monitor 1920x1080)
Having a hard time choosing right now..

Here's something to read about the MSI 670 Power Edition.
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/msi-gpu-GTX-660-Ti-670...
The Sapphire is good for its price. $379.99 after rebates.
There isn't really much to tell, brands only differ on slight differences in stock clocks, and custom coolers.
The monitor's great. Though there are some cheaper alternatives that have LED backlight.

Any of those would do well, but the one you chose is a great budget monitor.
