Perks/Benefits of coupling Ivy Bridge and Keplar

I currently have an i7-2600k and I'm planning on getting a GTX 670. I was wondering if the core clock boost capabilities of Keplar still work when ran on the Sandy Bridge platform?

Also, are there any other benefits of running an Ivy/Keplar vs Sandy/Keplar? Or am I just asking nonsense?

Thanks!

Kepler GPU boost will most definitely still work. As to the benefits of those configs, I can't say but I don't see why there would be. :p

the only difference is access to pci-e 3.0 which at the most will increase 1 fps in a single card build.
