Hi,

I am Looking at cooling down the CPU temp's, I currently have a Thermaltake bigtyp revo on my fx 8150.

I have read many forums about the hyper 212 evo being a very good cpu cooler for the price you pay.

My temps currently are reaching up to 65c-72c on Battlefield 3 using core temp and many other programs etc.

The Thermaltake bigtyp revo states that it gives: 85.16CFM at 20dBa.
&
The Hyper 212 evo states that it gives: 82.9 CFM at 9-36dBa.

My fx 8150 is running at 4.2ghz

System specs:

FX 8150
GA-990-FXA-UD3
RAM 8GB 1600mhz
GTX 560TI ASUS
Thermaltake Overseer RX-I
1tb 7200rpm HDD

Thanks in advance quick response will be appreciated, any help towards a better CPU cooler for under $50 that you could recommend would be great. :)

Edit* I notice that the hyper 212 evo has an option to use another fan would this make a difference ?

The ones you want are these two.

NF-F12 120mm Focused Flow™ fan with PWM (The one that comes on the NH U12S)

Or Even Better, new killer performance, it not cheap, but it's even better than the above.

NF-A12x25 PWM (I am using one on my NH U12S and it's awesome.) Costs $10 more than...
the evo fans are ridiculously loud. more like 50+db at full load. as for the evo being a good cooler. in all honesty its an average cooler at a cheap price. pay a little more and you can get a very good fan and turn the evo into a great cooler.

if you dont care about looks but want quiet and performance look at the noctua f12 fans. that would be a perfect combo to the evo.

Thanks, But why are the noctua fans so good ? The CFM is very low ?
