C compiler for windows 8 64 bit

i tried most of the compilers but none worked .... expected turbo C or DEV C++ to work, but they dint either........... please help

Windows 8 x64 will only support 32/64 bit software.

Best advice is to download the free version Visual Studio 2012 Express.

I'm using c++ from visual studio 6 pack, working ok for me

edit: had to use the installer in compatible mode and run all users in admin mode

My favorite are both free and powerful and work on 7,8 64bit

For c only its pelles c http://www.smorgasbordet.com/pellesc/

Or

C/C++ Code-blocks http://www.codeblocks.org/

i have downloaded pelles C but at time of installation thr Next button is disabled!!
