Setting up wireless internet port

Hello, and thanks in advance, I have a wireless router in my house and I have a Night Owl video surveillance system setup (hardwired) in my garage and a wireless pc. Is there a way or is there some kind of wireless port device I can get to plug into my Night Owl DVR, so I don’t have to run an RJ45 cable from the house to the garage? I was told by Night Owl tech support the DVR would have to be hardwired only. I would like to monitor the surveillance system from a distance or through a computer.

you could use a ASUS RT-N12 with DD-WRT firmware and set it up in Client mode.

this will connect the Asus wirelessly to your current router and you can connect the DVR to the Asus.
