http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/registry/wishlist/ref=wish_list

there's the list, and here i'll say the most important components:
fx-8350
GA-990XA-UD3
gtx660
500gb hdd
600w modular corsair
corsair vengeance 1600mhz 2*4gb

I'll use the pc mainly for gaming, but i may use it in the future to render, and use some multi threaded apps (i don't believe a lot in that, but it's cheaper a amd than a intel cpu). Im not worryed about the gpu, i just cant wast more than that, and it is a lot for me. Hdd, if i need more i'll buy another, but i thought that; 8gb is fine, will upgrade in the future; and now i need your opinion. thank you :D

main question: fx8350 vs i5 3570k in rendering AND gaming

i'll overclock the cpu and gpu IF needed

i have a budget. that gpu is just fine. i don't need 9999 fps. i wont see any differences between 60 and 200 (i'll do but it ins't a big deal)
I will overlock if the performance ins't what i would wish

But what about the rest?

:C
my monitor (is the laptop monitor, since the money is short xD ) is something 1300*768 i think... not sure. and i have another one that is worst
if its 40 fps on ultra on bf3 with 700p and something i'll be just fine.

but what about the cpu? the gpu i can't spend more money. only if i get the 7870. the 7050 is to expensive as well as the gtx670/660ti

Yeah, of course. But what about overclocking the i5? :p Overclocking uses more power. An FX CPU would use a ton more power overclocked then an overclocked i5.

1: you wont be able to use the laptop as a monitor for your desktop. They don't have a video input, only an output to connect it to your tv or monitor.
2: the 8350 does well in rendering and will outperform the i5 in a multithreaded rendering app such as cinebench,
3: to reach the thru speed of your renders you would need at least 1 more harddrive , one source and one destinations, to avoid having a single hard drive trying to read and write at the same time. Optimal setups often ask for 4 drives, one OS, one scratch, one sopurce, and one destination. See your softwares support forums for suggested builds.
