More about cheap ubuntu computer build
  1. Dear you're better off getting an HDD. 32gb just isn't worth it no matter how little space they use. Windows itself will eat all that up, it may not even be enough after a while.

I don't really know about Diablotek PSUs. If you want cheap but quality ones, check Rosewill Green or Antec Earthwatts/Green.

You might want at least 4gb of RAM.
  2. I would recommend a 64gb SSD, even if 32gb is enough better to have more free space for write leveling.
    And a better brand PSU
otherwise everything else is plenty good enough for Ubuntu
  3. Stay away from Diablotec even for the build as cheap as this!

a bit more expensive but I wouldn't risk Diablotec.

Well i won't be installing windows I'm using Ubuntu which is like 5 Gb total and i'd prefer and ssd since they are much faster.
  5. The SSD is fine. Thankfully Ubuntu isn't a hog like Windows.
  6. Oh right, this is an Ubuntu thread. My bad.
32gb is still a bit small though...
  7. The SSD you post is not a regular SSD, it is a caching SSD, so you will still need another hard drive. And this SSD is Windows 7 only, probably won't run with Ubuntu.
