More about will 6100 bottleneck 660ti
  1. this is a FX-6100 with a 6950 (the "current build")

granted those are some pretty playable fps, but they are bottlenecked nonetheless. with a 660 ti, i'd guess you'll get some rise in fps at best.

What about a FX 8150 if not then reccomend me a proccesser £150 or less :P
  3. Those benchmarks were for 6950's in crossfire.

Your FX-6100 should be fine with the 660ti.

see how close the FX-8120 @ 4.2ghz, performs close to a 6100? even a cheap Pentium G860 performs close to it in some of the tests.

if you want an AMD cpu, the only worthwhile ones are the Phenom II X4 955BE/960T or the FX-4100. if you're open to intel, and this is a new build, then i can only recommend you an i5-2300/2400/3450 if you don't overclock or an i5-2500K if you do. an i3-2100 would also be a fine choice though you would still see some bottleneck but not as bad as the FX-6100
  5. Will be fine but you need to overclock the FX-6100 as much as you can.
  6. You'll be fine. I am a little confused as to how you have Intel integrated graphics on an AMD system....

But anyway, the FX series are really only decent when overclocked. I had an FX-6100 briefly. Get yourself a $30 cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo and get that chip running at 4.2-4.6GHz (shouldn't even be a problem to do this).

However even overclocked they still wont perform on the same level as a stock locked Intel.

Ok thanks! The reason i said i have Intel HD graphics is because i have some awful intergrated graphic son my Motherboard.
I will buy the 212 EVO and Arctic Cooling 5 thermal paste and over clock to 4.4GHz

    Well it will be a small bottle neck with 6100, i'd recommend a i5 2500k. i thinks its £160. Or maybe a i5 3450.
