I am on an expired contract. Great plan, so I don't want to give it up, but
am not happy with my phone (T720) I am tossing up the decision for the V220
or the V400 as my choice for a hardware upgrade.
1) I live in the sticks, so I need 850MHz
2) I prefer Motorola
3) I prefer the external antenna (peace of mind I guess...)
Can anyone share their experiences with the 2 phones? Which is the better
of the two??

Never tried the V400, but I have the V220. It's not bad, but the screen
isn't as good as the V300 - and I can only program 5 numbers to dial by
voice. It's a plastic casing, though, so it feels fragile.
It DOES come with Mini-USB port - so it's possible to connect to
computer. HOwever, I haven't found software for it.
I haven't had problems with dropped calls (I'm in Metro Vancouver area),
but RECEIVING calls - the speaker seems to be a bit quiet. not loud
enough.
One beef I DO have is that when I set it to vibrate and ring, it VIBRATES,
then rings, then VIBRATES.... I find that annoying.
Overall, though, since I only paid $60 for my phone, I'm happy with
it. But if something that's slightly better comes along, I would probably
think about paying just a bit if the quality of the phone was
better.
