Hey,
I need to choose a 7870 -
I want the QUIETEST Card of them all :p.
Cheaper is better, good customer support, warranty, RELIABILITY and performance
I would rather go with a quieter card than buying one that is noisey...

Options are in poll.

Please comment and tell me why chose any of the cards

Thanks in advance :)

MSi is the choice. It will satisfy all your needs (considering that you're getting HD 7870, not the HD 7950 or HD 7970. Best HD 7950 would be from Sapphire, best HD 7970 would be from (yet again) MSi, the "R7970 Lighting").

DirectCU is somewhat quiet too, but...seriously, just look at it...ewww...

Whatever you do - DO NOT get XFX Ghost, it's absolute crap.

Crappy cooling system (gets quite hot even during just medium loads), gets very loud over time (crappy bearings in the fans), overpriced, high chance of getting defective copy with whiny drossels.

Basically the same crap, but with other fans (which, I must admit, actually work a bit...unlike that Ghost trash. They are actually pretty much same fans, but with little fixes here and there), a little factory OverClock and an ultra-ugly girlie-like red strip on the side.

Probably RMA'd it, or changed it to GODLIKE HD 7970 from Sapphire. I would not be surprised any bit at all.

I never said that ALL they do is bad. I actually quite like their 6970s, but their 7870s are absolute garbage.
Of course it's only my IMHO based on the personal experience of usage, you don't have to take it that close to heart, but I'll never bash anything that I haven't tried by myself. I had personal bad experiences with XFX's 78-- series, so I'm only considering that as a defining point, when I recommend something to someone.

The hell? Where did I said it? I just didn't recommend DirectCU personally, but I never said anywhere that it's bad...are you blind?

That actually applies to you, not me. Because you accuse people of something, without thoroughly reading what they said, first.

If I had several bad experiences in a row (which I did), with the same product, I have absolute right to call it crap.
And it's absolutely rightful to not recommend it to other people, to even warn them to keep away from those, so that people won't waste their time/money/nerves on such bad things. It's actually a very simple consumer logic, I really don't get why you got so heavily pissed about my opinion...are you the dedicated XFX fanboy that rages on any person that won't like the product you like and bases his/her opinion on the personal bad experience of the usage?
