  1. The AMD is leagues ahead.
  2. Best answer
The Radeon HD 7600G core in the A8-4555m. is not "leagues" ahead of the Intel HD 4000. Click the following link for some gaming benchmarks:

Both integrated graphic cores are not really good solutions for games, but you can't complain too much due to the low price. The Intel HD 4000 performs better in the following games with low settings (because medium settings is too much):

    Far Cry 3
    Assassin´s Creed III
    Hitman: Absolution
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
    Need for Speed: Most Wanted
    Medal of Honor: Warfighter
    Dishonored
    Fifa 13
    F1 2012
    Borderlands 2
    Counter-Strike: GO
    Darksiders II
    Sleeping Dogs
    Diablo III
    Mass Effect 3
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - - The Intel HD 4000 not listed, but the Intel HD 3000 just as well as the Radeon HD 7660G.
    Battlefield 3
StarCraft 2 - - The Intel HD 4000 is not listed, but the Intel HD 3000 outperforms the Radeon HD 7660G.
    Risen
Left 4 Dead - - The Intel HD 4000 is not listed, but the Intel HD 3000 outperforms the Radeon HD 7660G.
Far Cry 2 - - The Intel HD 4000 is not listed, but the Intel HD 3000 outperforms the Radeon HD 7660G.
World in Conflict - Benchmark - - The Intel HD 4000 is not listed, but the Intel HD 2000 is only 11% slower Radeon HD 7660G.

Gaming benchmarks that the Radeon HD 7600G performs better than the Intel HD 4000:

    None.
  3. so, kamen bg..... why you said that amd is better? i means why amd a8 4555m is better than intel i5?

  5. and for jaguarskx, do you mean that radeon hd 1.6 is radeon hd 7600G same? i actually not understand between 1.6 ghz and 7600g.... hehe
  6. Wait... let me review those benchmarks again because I thought you were going with a Ivy Bridge Core i5 CPU. You actually listed the Sandy Bridge Core i5-2410m which has the Intel HD 3000 not the Intel HD 4000 graphics core...
  7. According to the benchmarks the Radeon HD 7660G offers better performance than the Intel HD 3000 in the following games:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
    Dishonored
    Fifa 13 (small difference though)
Mass Effect 3 (small difference though)
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (small difference though)
    Battlefield 3
    World in Conflict - Benchmark

Virtually the same performance (at most +/- 2% difference):

    Sleeping Dogs

    ---------------------------------------------

Okay, while not a clean sweep, the Intel HD 3000 does perform better in about 66% of the benchmarks. Therefore, the Intel HD 3000 would be overall better than the Radeon HD 7600G, but it depends on the game.

I really recommend going for an Ivy Bridge Intel Core i5 laptop. The Intel HD 4000 is generally about 35% - 40% more powerful than the older Intel HD 3000. Since new laptops are expected to be released this summer with Intel's Haswell CPU (4th generation Core i3/i5/i7) there should be some decent sales taking place or will take place to clear out inventories of current Ivy Bridge laptops.

The A8-4555m has a CPU core that runs at 1.6GHz, but can clock itself up to 2.4GHz as long as the CPU core does not get too hot. If more than 1 of the core is being used, then the max clock speed is likely less than 2.4GHz. The Radeon HD 7600G is simply the graphics core inside that APU.
  9. actually i already buy AMD Quad-Core A8-4555M 1.6GHz... so i gonna ask you again.. c is it really my laptop can performes better in the list that you mention just now... example:
    Far Cry 3
    Assassin´s Creed III
    Hitman: Absolution
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2
    Need for Speed: Most Wanted
    Medal of Honor: Warfighter
    Dishonored
    and etc......
    really can performs better? :)

    thanks a lot buddy
