Which 7850 should I go for?

Hey everybody,

I have decided to get a 7850 for my new build, I'm just not sure which one to get. I live in Ireland so the choice of places to buy parts really isn't great. I will be buying from http://www1.hardwareversand.de as it is just about the cheapest for where I live. I am on a budget so I'm trying to figure out if the price difference of 30 or 40 euro between different versions of the 7850 are really worth it. for example why not go for this MSI R7850-1GD5/OC, 1024MB DDR5 instead of this MSI R7850 TwinFrozr 2GD5/OC, 2048MB DDR5 when the first is €30 less. Is there such a preformance increase that makes it worth the extra? I do plan on overclocking it as well. If you could, have a quick look on the website and tell me which you think would be best; http://www2.hardwareversand.de/43/Graphics+Cards.search .

Thanks for the help.

The more expensive MSI model has better cooling (even by looking at it you know that, because it has two fans and the chepaer one has only one fan). But the price difference should not be high really, so I would rather recommend getting the cheaper one. The more expensive 7850 is just not worth it I think...

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Thats a nice find stickg1, it looks like the product title was misprinted, resulting in it being €20 cheaper. I think I will go for that one, it seems to have a good reputation. I just hope the title is misprinted, and that the product description is correct.

I'd like to say in general asus tends to be the more silent one, except its always the one that has to have the largest heatsink
