What do you get for mail in rebates?

do you get cash, do they give you a gift card, do they give you a check? i dont know

It depends on what manufacturer and website you buy from. Most of the time when you buy from newegg you get a gift card for newegg.

I have never received a gift card from newegg....and I have easily spent over $10,000 there over the years...most rebates are done through the manufacturer not the retailer.

Unless it specifically says a gift card of some type you will get a check. No one in their right mind would send cash through the mail. You can prove someone got a check when they cash it.
