Hello,

I own a HP Pavillion DV7 now ,but i wanna upgrade to a desktop.
Gonna build it myself,i assembled one via PcpartPicker.com.

I cane to this system ;

CPU Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler Zalman CNPS9500 AT Ball Bearing
Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H ATX LGA1155
Memory Kingston Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600
Storage Mushkin Callisto Deluxe 240GB 2.5" SSD
Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card Asus GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB
Case Cooler Master Storm Stryker (White) ATX Full Tower
Power Supply SeaSonic 750W ATX12V / EPS12V
Optical Drive Asus BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer

Is this a good gaming desktop?mostly gonna play games like Wow,Swotr and D3,and i may sometimes play some FPS games like Borderlands,Cod etc ...

Will it do well when playing those games?
Also,if u have any parts that you would replace by other parts or something like that, include them in your answer.
If u have any tips for me for building it,it would be apreciated to help me out :)

Greetings.

Great build. You've certainly done good research.
Though based on the games you play, you're better off with a 7950. It outperforms the 660 Ti at the same price point.

A little nitpicking here: The PSU is great, but I think you're paying too much for a 750w; you can save tens of dollars if you consider other brands/models. Doesn't really matter if it's Bronze -> Platinum, the difference isn't that big.

I wouldn't say it's the same, but basically it's something like 17% worse but 25% cheaper which makes it more value orientated.

EDIT: This a reply to the GTX 670 vs 660 Ti comparison.

Prefer to take gold or platinum,it says it's using 340 watts, without screen, wich uses 25 watt, total of 365 watts, wich my parents find quite alot, compared to now ,using a laptop wich uses like60 or so :(

And will take a look at the psu and VC ,thanks :d

Lets see well most of the games you will most likely be playing arent GPU intensive, but once you put FPS into the mix its a whole different thing to me for games like that I would rather have the 670 which is more powerful than the 660Ti, If your worried about budget stick to the 660Ti, if you want better game play get the 670. I will always try to up my GPU if I have the funds
