Windforce 670 GTX ,No display on boot , fans to full

Morning all,

I bought a new Gigabyte Windforce 670 GTX last week, everythings been running fine on all games , no problems at all until today.

I was playing TF2 (So not the most demanding game) and all of a sudden the display went blank and the system locked up.

I rebooted the PC , got no display at all (not even BIOS) and the 670's fans were really loud (I assumed full).

I've tried re-seating the card and re-seating the RAM , unplugging extra USB devices etc and nothings helped.

I've put my old 570 GTX back into the machine and it boots / runs fine.

Here are my specs:

I5 2500k Stock clocks
8gb DDR3 Vengeance
Gigabyte Windforce 670 GTX (Now back to the 570) running latest non-beta drivers
750w PSU
Gigabyte Z68X-UD3P-B3

Hi

I think your gpu is wasted. Have no clue on what the reason is but you should contact gygabite asap.

Yeah I had a feeling that was the case, I'll try cleaning the drivers and trying it again but it should be well within warranty .
