Man Creative Labs site is scaring me. Reading their own NG chills me to the bone.
A little history: after reading a bit in their own NG, I come to the conclusion that the latest drivers for the Live 5.1 card ran with a /w switch should get me going. Boom there is nada for these cards on their site. What is up with that?
Anybody have any advice for me on this as far as choosing a good driver set, and where I can download it?
Man, the SBLive in question must be from late '98 early '99 and there aren't even updated Win2K drivers posted. Not to mention the fact that Win2K is almost 2 years old now, and practically all one can see on their NG is horror stories about when people tried installing Win2K to a system containing a SBLive.
I'm so nervous about upgrading this system from Win98SE. Can someone help me feel warm and fuzzy again, or am I just stepping into a bottomless pool of Sh!st here.
