Hi, is 500w enough for a GTX560 (Palit edition), I just bought a FSP Bluestorm ii, which according to Newegg customer reviews, and other reviews online, is a very good PSU and is actually SLI capable, comes with 1x6pin and 1x6+2 pin.

Rest of system.

Core 2 Duo @3.4Ghz (E7500)
ASRock G-41M - VS2
4GB's ddr2 ram]#
500GB Hard Disk.
Nvidia Geforce 9400gt. (Until i upgrade to a gtx560 at christmas)

Thanks

A 560 will run fine on a 500w. But why get a 560? Better to get the 7850, which will drop to $150 this Christmas. It uses very little power, and is 1.5x more powerful.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have about £100-£110 to spend on a graphics card for christmas, really didn't know the 7850 was 1.5x more powerful, will consider it. Are there any better cards for around $170?

Also, is the power supply any good?, according to some websites, it's 80plus, but i'm not sure, only paid $33 for it though, looked pretty cool at the time.

Cheers!

It says on the specs that it has 80%+ efficiency, but it's not branded as such. It will work fine though. FSP makes good PSU's. For $170, there's no better GPU. But sometimes, the 7870 comes down to $190. It's a very good card, and uses very little power.
