What would be a better cpu? a older athlon dual core at 3.2Ghz or a 2.8 am3 240 x2? Getting both cpus tomorrow one with a working board, and the am3 with a dead board. buying for a cheap wow pc for a friend, getting a gt 210 either for the pc or his current low profile inspiron, and a bricked bad bios 5850 if we can get to work. Would it be worth to get a new board for the am3? or using the am2 with a working board be fine? will have 4gb of ddr2

I believe one of the two comes with a aftermarket cpu cooler, and found out that the am3 x2 240 works in the motherboard that comes in with the 6400+ with a bios update, so ill end up testing both.

Any idea of how a gt 210 would play wow? playing on low isnt an issue, resolution will range from 720p to 1080p ranging on which minitor is used.

Also if i can get the 5850 working, how much of a bottleneck would occur with a dual core like the two athlons?

well im getting both cpus that will work in the same board, with 4gb of ram for like $50 and if we can get the 5850 working would be used until he can buy something like an A10 without the 5850 as well he didnt pay for it lol or if we let him have it something like an x4 965 or 6300. for the cost its basically temporary lol

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2434#ov is the board thats coming with the 6400+, but cpu support for the am3 with bios update, the power phase does not seem to promising but u think could get a decent oc like lets say 3.6 with the 240 or 3.2 with the 6400+?
