Yeah but corbeau is right. Yorktown was the 45nm shrink of the Kentsfield, or the quad core version of Wolfdale, which is a Core architecture. Specifically Core 2 in this case. It is a 64 bit extension of IA-32 microarchitecture, which itself is built on a x86 instruction set.
