670 or 680?

I am positive I want to get a NVIDIA GTX 670 or 680 but I am unsure which would be the best. The 670 is a $100 less while the 680 has slightly better performance. Is the 200 CUDA cores and the 26MHz core clock worth the extra franklin? I think not, but usually its not all stats which seperate graphics cards.

I just read the review here, it’s not much different and definitely not $100 different.

If you want a 670, the one to get is the Asus. While many non-reference cards add an improved cooler, few have a factory heavily modified PCB, with an efficient VRM design to produce low temperatures, improved voltage regulation circuitry, much better CHiL controller , specially binned chips and voltage control and monitoring support that you won't find on most other non-reference cards. Those are some of the reasons you'll see it get a 10.0 rating at techpowerup, something no other card has ever attained.

I would get the 670. The 680 isn't worth that much $$$.
