Building new pc

building a PC,its for a friend and his use is : adobe collection , encoding ,gaming and maybe some 3d but will be simple 3d

and we confused between 2 configuration we could go for 6 cores or 4 cores to save some money and spend on other hardware like ssd or a second VGA card

i7 3930k

Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 OC

or i7 3770k

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 OC

other components same, what is the recommended choice here and if there is another figure am happy to know

I would just go for the 3770K, there's hyperthreading too to help with the workload.

Okay, it looks good but you can do better on the PSU.

Will you be adding another 670 in the future for SLI?

Okay, well if your budget can handle it, I suggest getting a 750w PSU now like the one on TheBigTroll's build so you won't have to upgrade wattage when you add another GPU.

i dont recommend x79 unless you do more than 6 hours of rendering a day. so therefore not useful to you

xfx xxx 750w is 109.99 after MIR at us.ncix

the rosewell capstone 750w m is 109.99 at newegg. my recommendation lies on this unit but the xfx xxx isnt too much off

well it wouldnt hurt to take the 850w since they include the same cables and are literally the same but you could save some money by going with the m12ii 750w
