Hello,

i've downloaded the BF2 demo with a lot of hope, but unfortunately, the
game is not working. When i start the game my screen switch the
definition (and black screen), but after a few seconds, it swithes back
to windows. I have updated my GForce Ti4200 64Mo graphics drivers and
directx, but nothing work.
Someone know if there are log files somewhere ? Or does someone have
this problem also ?

Thanks for any information,
Oliver (alias BigSmooth)

IF you can afford it, the general consensus is that the geforce 6600gt
is the best bang for the buck right now (~$150 at newegg)

The XFX GeForce 6600GT is the best of the 6600's. Get that. Around $170 and
worth it.

Ok that one and the Asus one are around the same price. My current
card is a Asus and I swear by it!

I will have to look at all the details really close to make my choice.
I sure hooe Fry's Electronics has one or both of them... Too bad
Newegg doe snot take money orders... :-(

Is there an explanation why? I've been playing the demo fine on an ATI
Radeon 8500LE and, as far as I'm aware, that's a weaker card than a Geforce
Ti4200.

higgy.

It has something to do with Shaders. The card needs to support 1.4
version of these shaders, GF4-cards do not. I've heard about a fix, but
don't know where to find it or if it works.
