startup Runn command?

Well you have a "start-up" folder in your start menu. You can drag shortcuts into it, or delete ones from it.

You also have a program called msconfig.exe which allows you to select which items of all boot files are enabled or not. It effectively 'REM's them. The ones under the 'start-up' tab in this program are usually the ones which use a fair bit of the system resourses.

N.B. Don't remove the programs "explorer" or "systray", or you will lose desktop navigation. Best to lose them one at a time and see the effect.
