Hi,
I have,

Processor : AMD FX 6100

Cabinet : Elite 371 (USB 3.0 version)

I work in 3ds max , maya , real flow , sometimes in editing softwares(e.g.,After effect,premiere).
Mostly architectural modeling & rendering(V-Ray,mental ray).

Help to choose between these 2 cards :
Money isnt the important part please look at the technical aspect.

Yes, workstation series only indicates that it is mean to use for work ( usually in a workstation )


System Requirements
PCI Express® 2.0 x16
350-Watt power supply or greater
512MB of system memory
Installation software requires CD-ROM drive
 
since you don't play games i think it is better for you to get fire pro cards if the cost does not a concern for you. before this i heard amd did break open gl support for their normal consumer grade card for quite some time. they already fix it though (with recent driver release) i heard the pro card does not have such a problem. maybe you can look up in more forums in regarding this stuff

For sure go with the FirePro. The FirePro cards are designed for hardcore rendering programs such as Maya and 3ds Max, so you absolutely do want to go with a workstation series card.

If money really is no object, check out the new FirePro W series...probably the Firepro W8000. Amazing workstation card.
