More about should nvidia geforce
  1. 1 670 for sure. What does the rest of your computer look like?
  2. CoolerMaster Storm Enforcer
    Core i5 3570k
    Asus P8Z77-V motherboard
    8gb Corsair Vengance 1600mhz
    SeaSonic X-SERIES X-1050 1050W

I have all the parts still in their boxes waiting to be built just haven't been able to decide on which gpu to buy.
  3. more powerful single card always > SLI/CFX...

    Also:

2x GTX 480 in SLI draws up to 500w of power. Do you have a PSU that can handle it?

SLI can cause micro-stuttering (just kind of annoying)

SLI performance is different game to game... some games it'll outperform the GTX 670 and other games it will have worse performance.

What resolution are you gaming on? Cause 1.5 gigs of vram is getting pretty small for heavily modded games...

Edit: Ya. get the GTX 670 and SLI that later on... no idea why you bought a 1050w psu though :/ that's pretty much overkill unless you're doing tri/quad sli...
  4. You can do quad SLI with the 670......
  5. Anything made by Seasonic that's god 1050W is going to be able to run 2 480's.

And I would much rather recommend the 670. Because when it comes time to upgrade the 670, you can just get another 670, whereas when you have 2 480's and you need to upgrade, you need to replace both of them.

The 480's also generate alot alot of heat.

not with that motherboard lol. only 2 PCI-E 3.0 x16 slots (x8/x8 mode with 2 cards)
  8. Get the 660 Ti. It is much better bang for the buck. Later you can get a second one and it scales up 100% (meaning you'll get about 60 fps jumping from 30 fps). The difference between two 660 Ti and two 670 in SLI is neglible compared to the savings you have.

+1. Get a single 670 now then SLI down the road.
