whats the difference between INTEL I5 IB AND SB and which is better ?

the ivy bridge runs slightly hotter, but at stock performs better, than a similar sandy bridge. sandy bridge u can get to around 5ghz, but to match the SB a IB only needs to reach like 4.6ish, and the extra heat production is not really much, if not overclock then IB, if OC well IB again lol unless ur going for an extreme OC then temps r an issue and SB would be better

Plus you get PCIe3.0 with IB and not with SB. It doesn't matter today, but it might by the time you want to replace the GPU with a shiny new one.
