Because i just ordered a cable with vga on one side and dvi on the other, would there be any signal benefit then using my old setup with a the adapter plugged into a normal silver vga cable?

The new one has gold plating too. :pt1cable:

Hello,

No matter what you will be translating from digital to analog so you won't see any noticable signal difference as long everything is hooked up right and tight. The transfer medium can't hurt though, though it will likely not be noticeable either, but what hell go for the gold!

One is an adapter requiring you to have your own vga cable, one is a cable requiring you to have nothing else. Less connections are always best, go with the cable.
