Here's what I got so far: ASRock Z77 EXTREME6 ATX Mobo eVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2GB GPU Patriot Viper 3 Series (2 X4GB) RAM Core™ i5-3570 Processor Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 Power Supply Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case The total price is around $1200 for this build. Just wondering what you guys think about it. Any feedback or upgrades recommended would be great. Thanks. More about : building lt_dan_zsu October 16, 2012 4:08:57 AM Nice build. Are you going to get a 3570k? I would get this motherboard instead http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... Then I would also get a 7970 ghz edition instead. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... This will get the price down a little and give a decent increase in gaming. m 0 l habsfreak October 16, 2012 4:24:04 AM Don't you get the 3550k if you're looking to OC? I dont know anything about overclocking so I dont know if it would matter. m 0 l Related resources Building a new gaming pc. It has reference cooling, gonna have high temps when OC'd and on load. +1 on the 7970/GHz. You probably have a reason for going on a mid-range z77 motherboard, so that's up to you. Here's something that can guide you though. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/z77-extreme6-z77a-g... m 0 l Nw333 October 16, 2012 10:30:39 AM The Extreme6 isnt worth it over the Extreme4. All it has is a few extra SATA ports if memory serves me correctly. @excella, nVidia actually did quite good with their reference coolers, but yeah, OP wants better cooling for his money. There is no 3550K lol. Do you even plan to overclock this computer? m 0 l excella1221 October 16, 2012 12:36:29 PM True, the stock is fairly decent for regular use and no OC, yes. But at basically the same price or sometimes even cheaper, he can get the significantly better custom ones. m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Ask !
