Quick and easy question

So I have recently put together a decent computer. My first at that.

i5 3500k (I think going off memory)
8gb ram, vengeance
Aus Z77 extreme 4
Sapphire 7870
OCZ 600w
250gb hdd
Some blue ray player (cant remember)

My psu came bad so I am replacing it. However, the OCZ I had was modular and had a 8 holed wire for my CPU. My new Star tech has a million cords but none being a 8. Can I plug the 2 4s in the 8 and get the same effect?

startech and ocz are both not-so great at making power supplies. you should be using something made by seasonic or superflower.

no name brands for power supplies often results in explosions or failures

you can use 2 4pin EPS cables and it should work

ok thanks. The OCZ came bad and the Star is just a short notice fix (aka barrow) I will look into those other brands, thanks!
