PC Not Booting Up After CPU Upgrade

I upgraded (changed) the CPU to a different one (from a amd atlon 3200+ to a amd sempron) (socket 462) but now the pc powers up and HD spins but the loading light stays on. It doesn't even boot up to the bios. :hello:

More about booting upgrade
  1. is this a "home build" pc or a store pc(hp.dell)?
  2. cpu upgrade its very limited by hp bios, link with specs of your pc tells you what cpu you can instal : lhttp://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00069442&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=228&product=447312&softwareitem=pv-31037-2&sw_lang=
if you want to install cpu that you have , you will need differebnt mb, but if you channge mb , your OS might not work anymore.(50-50 chance)
  3. You can try updating bios, and try again, but don,t think bios from hp will be any help.
this is Asuss mb , try there .
