I7-3770K @ 5.46Ghz?!

He guys, i have a i7 3770k and a MSI Z77A-G43. i have overclocked it to 4.4Ghz and also i have to OC Genie II mode selected. when im in task manager and i go to CPU usage, its says it's on 5.46Ghz when i'm rendering somethinh, how is that possible, is that alright? also, im on windows 8 if that matters.

With my experience of overclocking the Intel® Core™ i5-3570K with a Corsair H100 I found that I was having a hard time pushing 4.6GHz without the temperatures reaching a level that was higher then would like on a 24/7 overclock. So short of some very different cooling system I would say that the voltage to reach over 5 would push the temperatures up to a very dangerous level.
