I've been running the 6870 alone for a while and picked up the 6850 for a Crossfire. Having issue with system lockup after installing the second card.

I first tried by installing the bridge and trying to boot up but make it to the Win start-up screen(Win7 x64) and get a lockup. So I tried removing the bridge and re-trying, same problem. If I remove the 6850 and I can get back on my system fine. Checked my BIOS for PCIe being disabled or anything like that, couldnt find any options.

Tried again a couple times, once made it to my desktop with both cards installed(without bridge) but lost video and had to shutdown and remove the 6850 again.

I'm not sure if theres an issue with the card out of the box, or I'm setting this up wrong. I was thinking about removing my 6870 and booting off just the 6850 to see if its the card.

Any suggestions?

Booting from the 6850 is the only thing I can think of at the moment. It's also possible, though unlikely, that the PCI-e slot you are using for the 6850 is bad. What mobo are you using.
