Crossfire Help!

Last response: in Graphics & Displays

I bought 2 XFX ATI Radeon HD6950 2 GB and im using an Asus Crosshair Formula IV mother board. This will be my first time Crossfireing and when i put the 2 Videocards into the 1st and 2nd slot they are close together, like [----] This close together. Would proper venting be a problem here? Or would this actually be a fine setup?

My case is the HAF 932 Advanced full tower and it allows me to put 4 120mm fans, would this give the 2 video cards a good amount of air? Or should I just buy a longer crossfire bridge and put the cards in the 1st and 3rd slot?

Thank you for your time

doesnt the crosshair 4 have like 4 pci slots(3 usuable for at least 8x crossfire). unless you have really thick* 6950's, i wouldnt think that they would be that close together.

Yes you're correct. It dose have 4 slots but i can only access 3 of them. The fourth slot is all the way at the bottom and there's no way i could fit a 2 port (I think that's what it's called) in it. The cards are really thick, the fan is almost going to hit my second card.
