Whay is a good amd am3 socket cpu for htpc?

Hello,
I am building a home theater pc with an
ZOTAC 880G-ITX AMD 880G Socket AM3 Mini-ITX Motherboard w/HDMI, DVI, Audio, GbLAN & RAID
I am seeing conflicting thoughts in what CPU to use single core to keep heat and noise down, duel, quad cores of even 6-8 cores I need some expert advice here. I will use it to stream movies with XBMC. I also plan to store my media etc like a media hub. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

That is the best you can buy for that motherboard right now, and it should work fine, I still have a Phenom II in my gaming rig, and it runs flawlessly.
