Hi,
I am currently looking for a GPU. Which GPU should i get? MSI GeForce GTX 580 Twin Frozr II OC 800MHZ 1536MB or XFX Radeon HD 6970? I'll be playing with one monitor on 1080p And dw i have enough power supply. My processor is AMD phenom II x4 965 Black edition.

The 580 has a healthy lead over the 6970 but the 6970 puts out much less heat. Both of these are last-gen cards though so if you're looking for a good gaming card I would recommend something in the GeForce 600 / Radeon HD 7000 series. The HD 7870 is a bit ahead of the 6970 and may be coming down in price soon. The GTX 670 is the best bang for buck available right now. The HD 7970 is the heavier hitter which edges out the 680 in a large number of benchmarks and is priced similarly to the 670.

That's still a step behind the 580, so no I wouldn't recommend that
