600ti on Gen2 vs Gen 3. A difference worth noting?

Q. How much difference will a 660Ti running in a PCI Express Gen 2 slot make over Gen 3?

Current sys: I5 760, Asus p7p55D-E (Gen 2 pci), 750PSU, monitor with max res of 1440x900 and 2x250 in SLI

I’m looking at the dropped 560ti prices and the new whizzbang that is the 660ti and wondering which is better – but moreover, will I even notice as I’m using a Gen2 slot?

I’m happy at the 1440x900 res, I’m looking to run as good a looking image as possible on Borderlands2, Dishonored, Blops2, FarCry3, etc.

Thoughts?

like @Simois said the PCIe 2.0 and 3.0 differences in video adapters for now are so small that should not worry you.

About the gpu the price/performance is better than the 560 ti for the price right now;

wow. thanks for that! just 1% difference! crazy!

good to know - takes that factor out of the equation.
I think I'm gonna opt for the 560, there's a great deal on the MSI hawk 560 ti right now. $200 and then a $30 Mir. $170 sounds like a winner then.
