Water on Dell Vostro - Keyboard and mouse not responsive

Hello,

Read a few threads here about this and was wondering, has anyone been successful with restoring their laptop after water spillage - my computer turns on and windows comes up to password stage, but neither the keyboard or the mouse work at all. I have let it dry out for weeks..

Sounds like the water has damaged them both I once spilled a drink on my laptop and had the same problem, I used an external usb keyboard and mouse as i could not fix the problem. Its worth a try.
