FTP help

I need to set up a ftp site for a school group, but I can't connect to my server. I am currently using xlight and when I connect locally everything works fine on both mac and pc, but when I try to connect using the public adress only the mac can connect and the pc gets and error. I have port forwarded the server on my router (motorola surfboard if that helps) and I am using dyndns.com for ddns. I have tried disabling the fire wall on both the server and the router and turning off the ddns and just using the wan adress but it doesn't work. I even tried hosting the ftp sight on a different server but i get the same problem. Can anyone tell me whats wrong?

What FTP client are you using on the Windows machine? Did you try a passive FTP connection?

I just typed in the adres on windows explorer

Try using an FTP client like FileZilla

Is there a ftp client that can mount the ftp site as a drive or folder? I dont think File Zilla can do that but I dont know much about it.
