I have a GTX 660 Ti graphics card and want to upgrade the mobo and cpu. My question is to an i5 3570k or AMD FX 8350 vishera.
I cant find any AMD motherboards with a PCI express 3.0 slot however, but I know it is compatible with the 2.0 PCI slot. Which processor should I get. I use my computer for gaming. Please help with valid explanation to which processor i can get. Not worried about the $30 difference.

additional question when putting a new processor on a mobo do I have to by thermal paste? new to building

thanks for the links man. AMD FX-8350 has a cpu mark of 9160 compared to the i5 3570k cpu mark of 7147. looks like AMD FX 8350 is the winner, better performance, and a cheaper price.

I'd say the 8350; Sony has an 8 core APU in their console, so when the ports start arriving, hopefully your 8 core 8350 will have a significant edge.
