I'm prebuilding my own gaming PC on a website, so far i'm going for

Intel Core i5 3570 Gen3 Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Performance Air Cooler
ASUS P8Z77-V LX Motherboard
8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Dual Channel
Single AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB
1TB Hard drive

I've decided to go with an i5, because after researching people have said i7 3770 will not contribute any better performance towards gaming, and that hyperthreading doesn't help.

8GB RAM, because after reading around i will not be playing dual monitors, or playing multiple games at once / high end video editing rendering (Might go into that field)

And i have chosen the 7870, again after reading it's not worth for me to pay an extra $100 for 2-7 FPS, and that's only in certain games like BF3 and portal 2, i would get a 7950, but it's not available in the current build.

Please tell me what you think, and let me know how well it'll perform on new titled games such as BF3, MW3, GW2 and so on. If you think that going i7 Hyper threading, or up to a 660 Ti, 16 GB RAM please let me know.

Here's the website if you'd like to suggest a build for me: http://www.playtech.co.nz/afawcs0140076/CATID=54/ID=184...

Budget: $1800, Thanks!

Can you build one yourself? Its really not that hard. Its kinda like Legos.

This build is imbalanced and has unnecessary parts.

your comment in this thread is imbalanced and unnecessary.

@op that build looks soild, if you plan on doing any live streaming go with the i7

edit, get an ssd for os and core games you will be playing alot and use the hd as storage.

Well, you don't need the CPU cooler, and you can step down to the i5-3470 to save some money.

That site looks good, but compared to American prices I think everything in NZ is just alot more expensive.

Yes, New Zealand isn't the best country to build Gaming Rigs at, but this seems to be a good build and should run any games, just wondering about a few small things like i listed above.

That's true, I guess you've got to go with the site then. Its not a bad computer at all, but just a little more expensive than I would expect.

build is fine.

if the only thing people can nitpick about is $30 for the evo, then you are fine.
Even if not needed for cooling, it will be quieter than stock so it's not wasted money-especially since it's fan will always be running near lowest idle speed.

ssd is only thing i'd add as mentioned . then for your HDD, why not get 2TB for just the small amount more.

Sorry but what do you mean by SSD?

Solid State Drive.

Its like a really really fast hard drive.

Yeah, SSD would be more beneficial but, it only provides a small amount of memory, and is very expensive, i think i'll do fine with a HDD.
