2920xm heatsink

I have an alienware m17x r3 with an intel i7 2670qm processor. If i were to put a 2920xm in it, would i need to change the heatsink as well?

You might be lucky that it will be adequate. The Cpu you got dissapates 45 watts - the 2920 dissapates 55 watts and have 2 mb larger cache

from 6 to 8 mb.
