How to overclock a CPU if my motherboard doesn't let me

Hello,
I want to overclock my CPU but my motherboard doesn't let me .Any good programs that I can overclock it with it.

My PC specs:

Core 2 Duo 6400 2.13 Ghz
4 GB of ddr2 ram
GTX 650 1GB

Hi,

If you have a PC straight from a manufacturer they mostly disable any OC features from the BIOS to prevent any damage, if this is the case you will more than likely need to purchase a aftermarket mobo.

As far as im aware, there is no sofware that you can use to actually overclock the CPU from within the OS, only monitor and stress test. You have to use the BIOS to change the FSB speed/multiplier!

I only really dabble in OCing so someone with a bit more experience may be able to help you more!

Yes I have a dell motherboard , tho my pc was built , or only the guy who built it changed the graphics card.
Anyway thanks for the reply , but I think I am going to wait for some more answers .
