Hi. I have an HP a6745f and here are the specs.

I play Everquest 2 which isrough on the cpu. My question is what can I upgrade to make my gaming performance and graphics top notch for the pc I have. I have been looking into the AMD Phenom quad core processor, upgrading my memory to at least 8 gb. Do I still need to upgrade my vid card and power supply? or no.

Also I have been told that if I update my BIOS that I may be able to get an even better processor, the Phenom II. Is this info correct?

Your biggest gain at gaming will be to add a discrete graphics card. With the 300W PSU, you would be best to pick up a HD 7750: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007709%20600286767%20600298541&IsNodeId=1&name=Radeon%20HD%207750
I'm not sure that board/BIOS would support an Phenom II (if you could even update the BIOS). But if you find a Phenom 9950 someplace like ebay, you may want to pick one up. The gfx card will make all the difference though, much more than the processor upgrade.
