First, you have to be certain all of your client computer are indeed
running Windows XP Professional NOT Windows XP Home Edition. Microsoft
cheaped out and crippled home so you cannot connect to a domain without
upgrading or alternatively downloading a free program called Xteq
X-Setup (look for it on google). Though home can connect to the data on
a domain server. If that's all your going for.

To connect Windows XP Professional:
In your settings for each computer you have to go into the "System
Properties"
Select the tab labeled "Computer Name"... Make sure the Workground is
set to the same name as the domain you will be connecting to. Make sure
you can see the domain listed in "My Network Places"
If you can see it, your in business. Go back to the system properties
and click the button "To rename this computer or join a domain, click
change." and Click change beside it. Select Domain not Workground and
verify the domain listed is correct. You will be prompted for a account
and password if it does not correspond to your Windows XP login account.
then Reboot.

:D

That is great - where do you set up the domain name itself?

Thanks
