SSD - The Performance Upgrade of the Future
What is the difference between non ECC, ECC non-registered, and ECC Registered SDRAM? I currently have a Tyan Trinity KT133A board and i'm not sure exactly which of the above three I can put in it. please help
Just get non-registered, non-ECC RAM. That's what I have on my KT133a board. Registered (or buffered) RAM enables you to use more than 2 sticks of DDR or 4 sticks of SDRAM. ECC is Error Control Checking (I think , so it slightly slows down performance, but is safer. You don't need it unless you're a bank or something. I post so you don't have to! 9/11 - RIP
