Yup that's the one I meant. And yeah it's made by Seasonic, most brands don't make their own stuff.

If you are only running a single HD7870 you only need 500W, any of the similar iterations of the previously mentioned PSUs in the ~550W area will be perfectly fine.

Yeah it depends on what you are using it for, but if you do need 750W (mid-high SLI/Xfire setup) then it's a very good PSU.
As for value, Seasonic are rarely going to win the best price, but it's still a good deal.

Other slightly cheaper options that still offer 80Plus Gold and modular cables -
Rosewill Capstone M 750 - $120
XFX Black 750 - $130

There isn't really a bad choice in there.

Hi - I'd say it is more than a decent PSU, it's excellent. Will
cf/sli & OC just about any 2 GPU's out there.
Price is so-so.

Occasionally it goes on sale, if ur not in a hurry,
you can wait, or consider another top quality unit:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182084 quality platinum unit - nets to $105

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182273 quality platinum modular nets to $119

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817121088 quality modular platinum - nets to $130

Ex units in the price range of the excellent X-750
